Welcome To The Korean Martial Arts Federation™
2nd Degree Black Belt Weapons Program

The Korean Martial Arts Federation™ was founded by Grand Master James S. Benko (see biography) . Grand Master Benko began studying the martial arts in 1959. He has provided KMAF members with guidance from his several decades of martial arts and military experience.

When your Tuition fee has been paid in full and you have been admitted to the program, you will receive the following:

  1. 2nd Degree Weapons Program Guide
  2. DVDs featuring the requirements for this program
  3. Your KMAF Membership Card
If using the online order form select "2nd Degree Black Belt Weapons Program", under the section titled "Program you wish to enroll in". The tuition fee and testing fees can be found on the application.

You may film the requirements in sections and keep them until you have everything needed to complete the level you are studying, or you may choose to send in all levels at once. You may also, if you wish, set up a YouTube channel and contact us when your requirements have been down loaded to your channel so they can be reviewed.

A former Green Beret who served 3 combat tours in Viet Nam, Grandmaster Benko brings you these programs he has created, which may be used by those who wish to continue their advanced studies of Korean martial arts weapons.

These videos contain requirements for Korean Martial Arts Federation™ (KMAF) certification in korean weapons art of Han Kuk Mu Ki Do™.


KMAF KOREAN WEAPONS: 2nd DEGREE BLACK BELT PROGRAM
(You must have completed the KMAF 1st Degree Black Belt Weapons Program in order to enroll in this program)

There are 3 Levels in this Program:

Upon enrollment in the Program you shall receive the following:
  • 2nd Degree Weapons Program Guide
  • KMAF DVDs for this program
  • Your KMAF Membership Card
Upon completion of all 3 Levels, of the “2nd Degree Program”, you will be awarded your KMAF
2nd Degree Black Belt Certificate in Korean Weapons (Han Kuk Mu Ki Do™).

2nd Degree Black Belt Korean Weapons - Level 201:
Requirements may be found on DVD-252: Tahn Bong Sul: Volume 1 (Short Stick Techniques)

To Complete This Level You Must Demonstrate the following:


2nd Degree Black Belt Korean Weapons - Level 202:
Requirements may be found on DVD-253: Tahn Bong Sul: Volume 2 (Short Stick Techniques)

To Complete This Level You Must Demonstrate the following:
  • Defenses Against Wrist Grabs
  • Defenses Against Clothing Grabs
  • Defenses Against Hand Attacks
  • Defenses Against Club Attacks
  • "EE Tahn Bong Hyung" (Second Short Stick Pattern)

2nd Degree Black Belt Korean Weapons - Level 203:
Requirements may be found on DVD-120: Short Stick & Cane: (Tahn Bong And Ji Pang E Sul)
(You will not be required to demonstrate the cane techniques on this DVD)

To Complete This Level You Must Demonstrate the following:
  • Mini Tahn Bong (Mini Short Stick) Techniques
  • Tahn Bong (Short Stick) Techniques
  • How To Grip The Weapon
  • Blocks
  • Strikes
  • Immobilizations
  • Wrist And Joint Locks
  • Holds
